Farewell Lovely Ladies

Last night I had the pleasure of spending a night out with the girls limo style. We rented a limo and spend it driving around San Francisco and going out for dinner. Our first stop was in North Beach at an Italian restaurant, Bocce Cafe. It was fun hanging out with the girls because the night was also our  farewell before we all return home soon, well except for Tais.

We stopped at the Palace of the Fine Arts, Lombard Street, Pier 39 and the Golden Gate Bridge, unfortunately it was really cold and foggy, what you would expect in San Francisco. On the way back we went tho Berkeley to check out all the frat parties, but we weren't  "cool" enough to get in even rocking up in a limo. It was a great night where we ended it by going to Lake Merritt for some pictures.
The dress I'm wearing is from New York and Company, I got it at such a bargain for $6

Freshly Ground in San Francisco

Last night South African band Freshly Ground performed in San Francisco. It was a full house with mostly South Africans in the audience, I think because everybody was singing along to the music.

The band was great, they had the audience to their feet dancing to their beats. I had a great time listening and dancing to the music and being surrounded by fellow South Africans too.
By the end of the night they ended of with the world cup song which was a perfect end to a great night.

Swedish Midsummer

This has been a busy weekend, it started with watching South African jazz legend Hugh Masekela perform in Oakland on Thursday and Friday. Then there was San Francisco Pride Parade and watching One Republic perform in the Golden Gate park today, but the one thing I do want  to get to, is the Swedish Midsummer celebration on Saturday.

I had the pleasure of celebration the Swedish Midsummer festival with some of the girls, it was so much fun. We ate Swedish food, played some games and a I learned a few things about Swedish culture that I didn't know before.
The Swedish had some yummy snacks we then went to Lake Temescel to play some games. girls Sandra, Anna and Kasja did an amazing job of everything the, food, decor and games. After we  It was like having a piece of Sweden here in the USA.

Student Fashion Show

The past weekend I attended a fashion show by the students of Academy of Art University in San Francisco. There were some interesting collaborations between the Fashion, Textile, Knitwear and Fine Art Sculpture design students.
I had a seat in the front row and from where I was sitting the quality and construction of the garments were excellent.

There were a mix of garments and styling was appropriate for each range gracing the catwalk. There was definitely some amazing talent.

Around San Francisco in Style

Friday night we celebrated two birthdays in true style. We spend the night cruising around San Francisco in a white limousine whilst sipping Champagne and munching on chocolate dipped strawberries in the back. I had a opportunity to wear my new H&M jumpsuit I mentioned in my previous post.

The night was great fun, we made some stops in Union Square, where we had dinner at the Burger Bar inside the Macy's building. Then we drove over the Golden Gate Bridge, where we got out and had an amazing view of San Francisco and the view of the bridge at night was breathtaking.

Our last stop was Pier 39, where we also got out and walked around the Pier. I was  a great night, good atmosphere, great company and the limousine of course was just a perfect touch. Thanks Sandra and Christin!!
