Dinner at Moyo

It was my birthday in the week as well as my parent's wedding anniversary, so on Saturday we went to Moyo for dinner. It is situated in Stellenbosch also known as the Cape winelands, I was once again reminded how fortunate I am to live in beautiful Cape Town. The setting is just amazing, with different areas where one can enjoy a wonderful meal. The decor is African inspired and I was swept away by everything that surrounded me. From live marimba bands and live acts to getting your face painted to feel apart of the African culture. The meal was buffet style and ranged from seafood to all different kinds of meats and also wonderful salads and vegetables for those vegetarians.

I had a wonderful time just relaxing with my family and just taking in what the place has to offer. One can also take a nice walk around the premises and just enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. The dress code is a very casual and I recommend not wearing heels. I definitely want to go back.

This also inspired me to do more features on what Cape Town has to offer and all the unique things that surrounds me in my city. For those of you who also don't know Table Mountain was name one  of the New seven Wonders of the world, which makes me more proud to live in this wonderful and diverse city.

Halloween Memories

So I'm a day late but I had to share this picture. Last year I celebrated Halloween in California with some wonderful friends I made there. I really  missed all the fun this year seeing that we don't celebrate Halloween in South Africa. My costume was kind of a DIY situation that involved sewing some thing on the last minute. So happy Belated Halloween to my California girls, I miss you guys!!!!

Till we meet again, San Francisco.

This weekend was was my last weekend in the USA, so in a few days I will be back in South Africa. Even though I'm super excited to go home I felt really sad when I spend the day in San Francisco, because I don't  know when I will return here and I really love the city. It was raining a little bit but I still enjoyed it for old time sake. I spend some time at Pier 39, the had a Sushi lunch with a friend in Chinatown. And of course some shopping too.

Bye Bye Sandra

As I mention before Saturday night Sandra invited a few of us to her farewell dinner, she will be going back to Sweden in a few days. We had a nice dinner outside, the food was delicious and and the company even better. It's sad to have to say good bye to these amazing people that was apart of my life for the year, but now I have reason to travel more and visit them.
The scarf I'm wearing was a lovely gift from Sandra, which I love. It was so cold outside that it came in pretty handy.

New Glitters

Hope you all are having a good weekend, tonight is yet another farewell party, this time for Sandra. This means my time is getting closer too, less than 3 weeks to go.

In the past week I bought 3 pairs of new shoes, maybe I should not have, because I don't know if I even have space for them but I couldn't resist. This is one of them,  I fell in love with these babies and they were only $16, even more reason to buy them. I have no idea how I will fit  all my stuff into 3 suitcases, any tips for packing?

I heart it

It's been a while since my last post, its just been busy since I'm going back to South Africa in 3 weeks. I've been catching up with some American sport this week, on Tuesday I watched the San Francisco Giants play and today it was football at Stanford University. Today after the game we went to San Francisco where I took these pictures in Union Square. There are a few of these hearts around San Francisco all in different designs, they are all really cool designs.

I decided today to try the turban which I was inspired by the girls of Fashion Breed and Baked. I think I will try it again and it's also good to cover up a bad hair day.

Farewell Lovely Ladies

Last night I had the pleasure of spending a night out with the girls limo style. We rented a limo and spend it driving around San Francisco and going out for dinner. Our first stop was in North Beach at an Italian restaurant, Bocce Cafe. It was fun hanging out with the girls because the night was also our  farewell before we all return home soon, well except for Tais.

We stopped at the Palace of the Fine Arts, Lombard Street, Pier 39 and the Golden Gate Bridge, unfortunately it was really cold and foggy, what you would expect in San Francisco. On the way back we went tho Berkeley to check out all the frat parties, but we weren't  "cool" enough to get in even rocking up in a limo. It was a great night where we ended it by going to Lake Merritt for some pictures.
The dress I'm wearing is from New York and Company, I got it at such a bargain for $6
